Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and a licensed dental professional or the authorized representative of a dental practice, DSO, or dental lab to use this platform. By submitting a form or registering, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Listing
Operatory Auctions lists seller equipment at no cost. We photograph, inspect, document, and publish the listing to our full buyer network. There is no seller commission and no fees of any kind to sellers. Operatory Auctions makes no guarantee that a listing will sell at any particular price.
Seller Terms
- Sellers pay zero commission and no fees of any kind. You keep 100% of the final sale price.
- Sellers must accurately represent equipment condition. Misrepresentation may result in listing removal and account suspension.
- Once an auction closes, sellers are obligated to honor the sale and provide access for buyer pickup or freight coordination.
- Payment (final sale price) is wired to the seller within 5 business days of buyer payment clearing.
Buyer Terms
- A 12% buyer's premium is added to every winning bid. This fee is always disclosed upfront on every listing before you bid.
- Payment is due within 2 business days of auction close. We accept ACH, wire transfer, and credit card for purchases under $5,000.
- Buyers have a 5-day inspection window after delivery. If equipment materially differs from what was documented in the listing, contact osita@operatoryauctions.com immediately.
- Operatory Auctions is not liable for equipment condition beyond what is documented in the listing.
Platform Rules
- Operatory Auctions reserves the right to remove listings, reject inquiries, or suspend accounts at our discretion.
- Shill bidding, bid manipulation, or any attempt to defraud buyers or sellers is grounds for immediate and permanent suspension.
- All auctions run for 7 days unless otherwise specified.
Limitation of Liability
Operatory Auctions acts as a marketplace intermediary. We are not the seller or buyer of any equipment. Our liability in connection with any transaction is limited to the fees paid to us in connection with that transaction. We are not liable for equipment condition beyond what is documented in the listing or inspection report.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. Any disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
